My presentation uses three different types of text on each slide. A large title in a pop style simply expressing the step and a general statement. The reader could navigate the presentation quickly by simply scanning the title. The next text type is for instructional. This text that describes in a few sentences procedure details. This text type is a common font and size so it is easily read. The last text is a bullets that present a list of items for the particular slide. They provide detailed not mentioned in the procedure, for example the measurements needed for ingredients. This text is italic and bold to standout from the instructional. Instructional Design can give the presenter a frame work to create but also repeat with efficiently. The suggested designs, ADDIE Model, Gagne's Events and Keller's Arc gives us a structure that assists the presenter and focuses on the audience. These designs have similarities and differences but have an important place in educational instruction. The ADDIE design uses reflection to improve and present instruction. This model reminds me of commuting to and from work. The time alone to think and reflect provides an opportunity for analyzing how things went and what can be changed for improvement. Often as educators we are spent when it comes to this. We provide feedback to students continually and we may miss the opportunity to provide ourselves that reflection and feedback. Hello, I hope all is well for you all. I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Callam Olver, I live in Prince Albert with my lovely wife Laura and our three daughters Teagan, Petra and Nixie. I have made a professional as a teacher for the past ten years, working in Saskatchewan. Currently I teach grade nine math at St. Mary High School and work as the Aboriginal Education consultant for the Prince Albert Catholic School Division. The past two years I have been furthering my education. I have learnt along side a very hip cohort working toward an additional qualification in industrial arts.
