Review and Self Assessment
My understanding and perspective of technology and design in education evolved throughout the course. In education we work towards creating opportunities for students to engage in the learning process. Technology is an exciting tool to engage in the interest of learning and the pride of creating a product. This course provided a variety of software applications that can be used in the classroom. Learning new software was at times difficult but became easier as I viewed and attempted operations. The experience of learning these programs has given me the confidence to continue to better my skills and bring these applications into a classroom. Projects that I submitted began to take on a classroom focus. The projects could be used as a teaching tool or as way to demonstrate evidence of learning. In some projects some technical criteria was overlooked. The Blog allowed me to engage with peers, publish my work. I enjoyed viewing and posting to colleagues blogs, learning from there projects, and reflections. Toward the end of the course and during major assignment work a couple blogs were posted a week late. The blog became a community of learners providing feedback and encouragement. Technology has the ability to be an excellent learning tool engaging people and projects.
